Our approach
1. Challenge Identification
First off we need to make sure we’re all on the same page about what we’re trying to achieve. More often than not, the lack of a clear vision is what dooms many endeavors to failure. This stage can include a bunch of tools and conversations.
Stakeholder Interviews (team, customers)
Start Stop Continue - a nifty exercise for existing business looking to level up
Analyzing Data
Visualization Techniques
The outcome of this stage is to have a clear problem statement signed off by all key stakeholders, with a tangible set of numbers to hit as a Measure of Success.
2. Solution Design
Now that we have full context about what we’re trying to do, we can begin to explore how to do it. We will need to go through a process of divergent and then convergent thinking and consensus building to arrive at the most effective way(s) to hit our goals.
Design Sprints
Prototyping
The Delphi Method
Making Build/Borrow/Buy decisions
Validation from Industry professionals (with help from the MotivOcean network)
Here we’ll outline some SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures) for your teams to follow: clear outlines and checklists for success at every level of the business that’s involved with the goal we’re trying to achieve. We’re also going to have a clear budget for how this entire plan is to pan out.
3. Execution
This is probably the most important stage in executing any strategy for a business. Disciplined and Adaptive execution is key to hitting those goals we outlined in Step 1.
Communication & Training
Incentivization & Gamification
Little experiments
Setting Up Effective Feedback Loops
At the end of this stage we should have a working, stable, effective operational process that can easily adapt to change while consistently driving performance, and keeping our people empowered and satisfied.
4. Optimization
Once we have our operational rhythms set up, we now have to make sure we’re at full efficiency. Optimizing or offsetting costs, streamlining our funnels to improve conversion rates, or improving our procurement processes - these are only some of the ways we can improve efficiency as a business.
Monitoring
A/B testing
Reporting and Analysis
5. Automation
This is another super important part of creating a sustainable, effective business. Far too many times, business leaders get too embedded in the operational rut to be able to do the things that matter - connect with their people and customers, innovate, or even just have a life outside work. We’ll help you make use of technology and some techniques that will allow you to step out of your office while maintaining full control.
